Microsoft’s Enterprise Mobility Suite (EMS)

Mobile workers and telecommuting is the new normal. Combine this with a shift to part-time & contract workers that utilize both company owned and personal devices. In fact, 52% of information technology workers use 3 or more devices for work. Technology leaders tell us they are continuously challenged with enabling the use of these devices while maintaining a secure IT environment.

If you could manage who is accessing your information and confirm that their device is secure, would that reduce your BYOD governance issues?

Introducing Enterprise Mobility Suite

The Microsoft Enterprise Mobility Suite (EMS) is a cloud solution that enables your organization to maintain IT policies, enable Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) and protect company data with a Software as a Service (SaaS) implementation.

How does EMS help?
Identity and Access control – Managing BYOD begins with knowing who is accessing your information regardless of the device that they are using. EMS uses Azure Active Directory Premium to help you enable single sign-on, self-service password reset, and Group Policy management.

Device Management – EMS includes Microsoft Intune that enables you to remotely manage Windows, Android, and iOS devices whether they are employee or corporate owned. You have the ability to eliminate corporate data from any device at any time. This especially useful when employees lose devices or leave the organization.

Data Control – Azure Rights Management (ARM) enables you to protect any contact sent inside or outside your organization. You can create permissions that manage access, copy, forward, etc. with assurance that those policies follow the document wherever it goes.

Skype for Business is the enterprise grade communications platform that you may now know as Microsoft Lync – it’s a name change.

Skype for Business has the look and feel of the consumer version of Skype with all of the security, compliance, and control that you expect from Lync.

Skype for Business is deeply integrated with O365 which means you can enable Active Directory, Presence, and Exchange Online integration.

Gartner placed Skype for Business in the Leaders quadrant in their 2014 unified communications and Corporate Telephony Magic Quadrants.

So why consider Skype for Business?

  • High definition video conferencing from any device.
  • Can be integrated with your existing PBX system.
  • Eliminate additional video conferencing solutions
  • Move to a completely hosted PBX solution, integrated with O365.
  • Reduce non-essential business travel with video conference calls with persons inside or outside of your domain seamlessly.
